FC Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny has reportedly told an Egyptian website that his move to Arsenal is all but done.
The 23-year-old looks set to complete a £5million move to the Emirates Stadium after the Gunners lost key players such as Francis Coquelin to injury.
Elneny is said to have confirmed he’s completed a medical with Arsenal and just needs to sign a contract with the club.
Javier Hernandez ready to accept Arsenal transfer move – report
Arsenal could also be in luck with their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez, who is ready to accept an offer to return to the Premier League.
The prolific Mexican only left Manchester United in the summer, but his fine form in Germany has attracted strong interest from Wenger this winter.
Hernandez has 19 goals in 21 games this term and would be an ideal upgrade on Olivier Giroud up front.
Arsenal offer Joel Campbell as makeweight in Nolito deal – report
Arsenal are also hoping to sign Celta Vigo forward Nolito by offering Joel Campbell to the Spanish club in return.
The 29-year-old has been in superb form in La Liga this season, also attracting interest from his former club Barcelona.
Still, Arsenal look to be stepping up their interest in the player by using Campbell as a tempting makeweight in the deal.
